Pokemon Go (Revisited)

So, I’ve come a long way since I first reviewed Pokemon Go back in July. Yeah, I know it’s been a month, but still! Anyways, I met the game with open arms, and honestly had a ton of fun. So much so, that I decided to support the creators by dropping $5 of my hard earned money into the program. I mainly did this because I was tired of running out of space in my inventory. Let’s get into it:

I have opened Pokemon Go once or twice this week. This is mainly due to the mega burnout that I have experience with the game. I had a ton of fun for the first 20 hours of Go, but now the game feels more like a chore than a form of entertainment. Also, I thank GOD for my foresight in buying more inventory space, because the recent updates have made the game NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE IN EVERY FUCKING WAY! I’m talking about running into a 130 cp Pidgey, and the motherfucker being able to break through two great balls, an ultra ball, and two normal Poke balls. And this is after…. AFTER I THROW FIVE PIECES OF CANDY AT THE FUCKER! FIVE! This may seem like an exaggeration, but I swear to God it happened. I mean, what the fuck?! I can understand the game scaling in difficulty as a result of leveling up, but ONLY if the Pokemon are more worth my time. AKA not a 130 cp Pidgey. I only tried to catch the son of a bitch so that I could throw him in the Professor’s grinder, and get a piece of candy out of his compacted corpse. But no! I can’t have that, since I’m level 21 and all. Why would they do this? Why would they make me need to farm as much XP as the US owes money to other countries, AND make it harder to catch gimp Pokemon? Why?! What the fuck!?!?!?!!? It’s not even fun at this point. Taking gyms is brutal as well, since the attack speed of the enemy Pokemon has been increased, and my precious Vaporeon was nerfed. Also, the tracking has been completely disabled. The entire GO aspect of the game has been removed. They might as well call it “Pokemon Wander Aimlessly”

All in all, I think I’ll return to the game only on occasion. The initial hype has definitely worn off, and I find myself hitting up Final Fantasy Brave Exvius in it’s stead. Speaking of Exvius….

Totally agree, Lvl 20 and same shit. Not even worth your time to go for harder to catch stuff cause there’s no gain in it just a waste a balls. New update sucks too.
